This critique examines the NSW Government's decision to place out to tender funding provided to existing information and advocacy services. It questions the aim of government in doing so, and offers the NSW Government a way forward which is based on a clear understanding of advocacy and its underlying principles. This includes a recognition of the roles of systems advocacy and advocacy development in protecting and promoting the rights of people with disability. Keywords: Government, Advocacy
