Often we take for granted the choices we have in life - where we want to live, with whom, the type of accommodation, in the city or, maybe the country. How many of us though would dream of living in a bed in an institutional dormitory, or appreciate being told we should be happy living in a room in a group home, with strangers? This paper talks about living "in" the community, with some support, and feeling safe and secure because neighbours, friends and family are watching out and providing encouragement and thereby giving the community an opportunity to be all inclusive.
