The authors suggest that Early Childhood special education, Developmentally Appropriate Practices guidelines and Multicultural education should be blended to support and nurture young children and their families in Inclusive Early Childhood programs. They present a brief overview of nine quality indicators that blend these traditions and illustrate their argument by showing what an inclusive program looks like for Grace, a young child with Down Syndrome.
