This presentation was delivered by Margaret Rodgers, Jamie and Annette Carrigan at Family Advocacy's 2007 Odyssey Conference.
Margaret, Jamie and Annette are from the Building Informal Networks Project, share what they have learned about inviting extended family and friends to become more closely involved in the lives of young adults with disability and their families. The presentation illustrates the importance of building and maintaining connections from early childhood and describes some of the ways people have been assisted to get involved and stay involved as the young adults have planned for and moved into homes of their own.
