This article tells us the story of Miriam, a 12 year old student from Melbourne whose parents were lucky to find for her a school that sees the "value and life" their daughter brings to the school community. The article describes how Miriam, who has an intellectual disability, is "part of the group" and how her classmates consider her part of the group as well. In the article, the school principal states that "schools who may be reluctant to take on children with disabilities should know they will always offer the school more than they will take".
