Today, across North America new options are emerging for adults to live in their own homes-no matter what their level of ability. This volume presents current strategies and unique ways of thinking about supporting people to live in their own homes and participate in community life. Forward looking chapters explore supported living effort on the local, state and federal levels, reveal the powerful personal perspectives of people involved in different aspects of housing and support, and examine case studies of organisations following new principles of assisting people with disabilities in community life. It also includes a very interesting chapter on the importance of culturally sensitive services for indigenous peoples. Keywords: Accommodation, Community Development
