Quality Indicators in Employment

Written Material

These notes were taken at a seminar by Michael Kendrick. Examples are given of detrimental practices (such as labelling and readiness) and practices which have been of benefit to people (such as targeted training and challenge). Some of the aspirations held for current supported employment include "real work" and competency enhancement, and examples of the job fitting the person are also given. A summary of current issues includes career issues for the consumer. The notes are in point form and are helpful in triggering thoughts and discussion. Keyword: Employment
