Queensland Parents of People with a Disability Inc. prepared this folder of family support stories to show that it is families who are the main supporters, initiators and providers in the lives of people with a disability. As part of the Family Support Project, QPPD met with some 200 families around Queensland to share wisdom and support and to discuss the stumbling blocks they faced. The folder also includes information on what main points were discussed when families got together, as well as some of the strategies other families have tried in bettering the future for their son or daughter.
