In this article, Michael Kendrick gives examples of how service workers can contribute in quite ordinary ways to the vital role of helping individuals with disability more fully be part of, and enjoy, the community in which they live. Kendrick suggests that many staff should become, and be recognised as, potential 'mind changers' and 'opportunity makers' as they take up the challenge of connecting people with disability with others in the community.
