This paper was written as a response to "Euthanasia and Mental Retardation: Suggesting the Unthinkable" by Russell Hollander (File Number 10345) and should be read in conjunction with File numbers 10347 and 10348. The author supports Hollander's article and describes "the killing thought" - a term coined by the artist Karl Williams for his song "Euthanasia". The author also argues that we turn a blind eye to the extent of abuse and deathmaking that goes on in the human service system today and asks at what point will we begin to advocate on behalf of people with disabilities in relation to this? ,Keywords: Ethics, Social Role Valorisation, Theory
