A very specific article concerning inclusive science curriculum for Year 6 and Year 7 classes. The article is an abstract of 2 chapters in the book, Toward Inclusive Classrooms. The first abstract explains how 2 teachers transformed their Year 7 science class so that all students had a valued role to play and all students were successful. The strategy the teachers used was teaching (or learning) teams. This abstract shows how they planned, implemented and evaluated this science teaching strategy. The second abstract details how a Year 6 science exhibition was transformed from a traditional, adult judged competitive one, to one in which there was no competition, students were the sole evaluators of each others work and every child succeeded.
