This book is not about what the author refers to as 'Values with a capital V', that is, over-arching values such as normalisation, self-determination and inclusion; rather, the book is designed to act as a guide for providing culturally appropriate services and to designing successful, respectful programs and supports for people with developmental disabilities that build on the strengths of each person's personal cultural values.
